Court applications about External Administrations

Court applications about External Administrations gives information about serving certain applications on ½ñÈÕÈÈÃÅʼþby emailing the court documents to legal.document.service@asic.gov.au and copying in the ½ñÈÕÈÈÃÅʼþteam you are already dealing with.

It also asks that applications be served well before the hearing so ½ñÈÕÈÈÃÅʼþcan review them and, for certain applications only, provide a formal response.

Requesting eligible applicant authorisation

Information Sheet 293 (INFO 293) explains the process for individuals or entities who want to be authorised as eligible applicants by ½ñÈÕÈÈÃÅʼþunder the Corporations Act 2001 (Corporations Act), which enables them to apply to a court to conduct or take part in public examinations related to the affairs of a company in external administration. See sections 596A, 596B and 597 of the Corporations Act.

Insolvency reforms for small business

Insolvency reforms for small business came into effect on 1 January 2021. These reforms followed the temporary measures introduced in March 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. These measures only apply to eligible incorporated small businesses with liabilities of less than $1 million.
